Who we are
This site ("Stand Together") is an educational resource about far-right extremism and hate in the UK. We aim to inform visitors, not to collect personal profiles.
Location and weather
We do not ask your browser for GPS or precise location permission.
The weather widget runs in your browser. It looks up an approximate area from your own public IP address(via a third-party geolocation service), then requests a forecast for that area. Each visitor only sees weather for their own connection — not anyone else's.
That location is typically city or region level (for example Nottingham), not your street address. We do not store it in our own database or sell it.
If the lookup fails, a UK default is used so the widget still works.
Other data we may process
- News and admin: Staff who sign in to the admin area have account details stored securely for publishing and site management.
- Analytics: In production we may use privacy-focused analytics (for example Vercel Analytics) to understand general traffic patterns, not to track you individually.
- External links: Pages that link to news sources or support organisations are subject to those sites' own privacy policies.
Cookies
Admin login may use session cookies so authorised users can stay signed in. The public homepage does not require cookies for reading content.
